🧱 A Dry Basement & a New Morning Ritual – Mr. & Mrs.Tony Smith in SW Minneapolis

Right off 53rd & Zenith in Southwest Minneapolis, I had the pleasure of working with Tony Smith and his lovely wife — an awesome couple who were ready to fix a long-standing issue and give their home some love.

Their old concrete walkway had started to slope toward the house instead of away, causing water to run straight into the basement. So, we made a plan and got to work.

We tore out the old concrete, excavated the entire side yard, and installed a brand new paver walkway with a subtle grade that redirects water properly. The fix was both functional and beautiful.

Tony was fully involved the whole way. He personally picked out the pavers he loved — and I picked them up and made it happen. It's always more fun when the client is that hands-on.

Now, instead of worrying about leaks, Tony enjoys quiet mornings with coffee on his new sparkly paver path. And best of all? The basement is bone dry.
