Full Backyard Renovation and Custom Patio Installation near Downtown Minneapolis | Elzo Landscape Project

Located just blocks from the Minneapolis Convention Center, the homeowners wanted to replace an aging deck and outdated layout with a custom outdoor environment that reflected their lifestyle and creativity.
We began by removing the existing deck and reshaping the yard from the ground up. New structural posts were installed for a custom privacy fence to establish separation and long-term stability. Crushed bluestone pathways were added to connect different areas of the yard while improving drainage and usability.
Throughout the project, close collaboration played a key role. Custom planting zones were created using aluminum edging, while raised garden beds were integrated into the layout to support seasonal growing and visual structure.
In the rear of the property, the driveway was extended and excavated to accommodate a new off-street parking area finished with a matching bluestone surface. This improved both functionality and overall site flow.
To complete the renovation, a stamped concrete patio was installed to provide a durable gathering space for entertaining, dining, and everyday use.
